Cannonball began in the kitchen with founders Tevis and Sheryl Laukat experimenting with saxophone acoustics to enhance tone and pitch. Their discoveries led them to take a bold leap—mortgaging their home to start a business. In 1995, they partnered with a talented manufacturer in Taiwan to create custom saxophones from scratch, eventually expanding into trumpets, trombones, flutes, and clarinets.
Today, Cannonball operates from its facility in Sandy, Utah, where each instrument undergoes a meticulous hand-customization process to ensure superior sound, rich tone, and effortless playability.
