Everything Saxophone Podcast Host, Donna Schwartz, spoke with Leah Concialdi, Saxophonist, about how to authentically pitch yourself.
Lean Concialdi - Everything Saxophone Podcast

Leah Concialdi is a dynamic force in today’s music landscape, known for her versatility both on and off the stage. With dual degrees in classical performance and music education, she brings a deep well of knowledge to every role she takes on — whether she’s commanding the stage with her baritone saxophone or crafting powerful PR campaigns behind the scenes.

For over 15 years, Leah was a prominent figure in Denver’s thriving music scene. She helped shape the sound of the city through her work with the original afrobeat collective ATOMGA, the high-energy electro-funk group TNERTLE, and the acclaimed Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats. Her reputation as a go-to horn player and arranger made her a staple in Colorado’s music community.

Now based in Los Angeles, Leah’s career has continued to evolve in exciting new directions. She’s performed with the Neighborhood Orchestra, contributed to feature film recordings and acting projects, and taken the stage at major music festivals. Her passion for performance remains strong, but it’s her expanding role in music publicity that truly sets her apart.

Leah currently serves as PR Director for Color Red, the record label founded by New Mastersounds guitarist and bandleader Eddie Roberts. She also leads communications efforts for Knew Conscious, a multidisciplinary artist collective and social club centered around the arts. In addition, Leah has spearheaded successful PR campaigns for a wide array of artists and organizations, including the Yellowjackets, Joey Alexander, Alex Acuña, Angel City Jazz Festival, Vince Mendoza, True Loves, Polyrhythmics, Nicholas Payton, and many more.

Named one of “11 Badass Women in the Colorado Music Industry” by 303 Magazine, Leah has also appeared on panels hosted by shesaid.so, Women Crush Music, and other organizations working to create equity in the music world.

Whether she’s on stage, in the studio, or amplifying voices behind the scenes, Leah Concialdi is a standout example of what it means to thrive as a modern music professional — creative, committed, and always evolving.
